Starknet staking — FAQ

How do I stake STRK on Starknet?

Connect a Starknet wallet (Ready, Braavos or Keplr), pick a validator on the Upstark staking page, enter an amount and confirm. Staking is delegation to a validator’s pool — the transaction approves STRK and joins the pool in one signature. There is no minimum for delegators and rewards begin the next epoch.

Is staking on Upstark custodial?

No. Upstark is fully non-custodial — you sign every transaction in your own wallet and Upstark never holds your funds or keys.

How are staking rewards claimed?

Starknet native delegation rewards are claimed manually — they do not auto-compound. On Upstark you can claim all rewards across your validators from the portfolio, or per validator. Rewards accrue every epoch based on the network APR minus the validator’s commission.

What is the unbonding period when unstaking STRK?

Unstaking starts a 7-day lockup during which you earn no rewards; after it you withdraw. Switching from one validator to another has no lockup.

How do I choose a Starknet validator?

Compare commission, attestation performance (missed epochs earn no rewards), delegator count and net APR. Upstark also flags high commission, low attestation and high stake concentration so you can delegate to a reliable validator and help decentralise the network, not just the largest one.

Which wallets work with Upstark staking?

Ready (formerly Argent), Braavos and Keplr — all as browser-extension wallets on Starknet. Make sure the wallet is on the same network as the site (Mainnet on upstark.net, Sepolia on the testnet).
